PRP Vaginal Rejuvenation: Platelet-Rich Plasma from Your Own Blood

The treatment searched for as “PRP vaginal rejuvenation” is an injection of platelet-rich plasma prepared from a small sample of your own blood. At S Women's Clinic, Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee, a female OB/GYN specialist, injects it at two sites, the clitoris and the so-called G-spot area of the front vaginal wall. The evidence for any benefit is weak.

Who asks about intimate PRP, and when Dr. Lee advises against it
Intimate PRP draws interest from women who would rather use something taken from their own body than a manufactured product, and from those who have read about it and want a doctor's view before deciding. Some combine it with an energy treatment for the vaginal wall, and the clinic lists sets for that. Questions about changes in intimacy after childbirth or with age deserve an unhurried conversation first: many such changes are part of normal variation and do not call for any injection.
- Wanting a treatment made from your own blood, with nothing synthetic left behind
- A short stay in Seoul, since the injection itself takes minutes
- Already planning a vaginal energy treatment and asking whether to add PRP
When intimate PRP is not offered
Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee postpones the injection during pregnancy, during an active genital infection, and while unexplained bleeding is being investigated. A blood or platelet disorder, or medicine that thins the blood, has to be discussed beforehand, and may rule the treatment out. Pain during intercourse, ongoing dryness after menopause or leaking urine each have causes that should be found and treated in their own right; PRP is not a replacement for that care.
She will also be direct when the expectation is a particular outcome. Because the research is small and mixed, nobody can promise what a PRP injection will change, and she would rather you decide on that basis than on a hope she cannot support.
How platelet-rich plasma is prepared and injected
Platelets are the small blood cells that help a cut close. They carry growth factors, proteins that take part in tissue repair, and that is the reason PRP has been tried in many fields of medicine, from tendons to skin. For intimate use the idea is to place a concentrated dose of your own platelets in a chosen spot; how much difference that makes is still uncertain.
- Blood draw. A small sample is taken from a vein in your arm, much like a routine blood test.
- Separation. The tube spins in a centrifuge, which divides the blood into layers by weight.
- Collection. The thin, pale layer between the plasma and the red cells, rich in platelets and called the buffy coat, is drawn off for injection.
- Injection. Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee injects it at the clitoris and in the so-called G-spot area on the front wall of the vagina. The injecting itself takes about ten minutes.
Because the material comes from your own blood, there is no foreign product involved. Risks remain all the same: it still involves needles in a sensitive area, and the preparation has to be handled cleanly from start to finish.
What intimate PRP is, and what it is not
PRP is a liquid injection that leaves no filler behind, so it adds no lasting volume and does not change the shape of the vagina or the vulva. It is a different treatment from the vaginal filler or G-spot filler injections offered at the clinic, and it does not replace surgery for marked laxity. The clinic does not use a trademarked product name for it, and no kit brand is named here.

Intimate PRP price in South Korea
- PRP intimate injection, one session: ₩500,000 before VAT · ₩550,000 with VAT
- PRP intimate injection, three-session package (total): ₩1,300,000 before VAT · ₩1,430,000 with VAT
- Revive radiofrequency (450 shots) with one PRP injection: ₩1,590,000 before VAT · ₩1,749,000 with VAT
- Ultra Vera HIFU (600 shots) with one PRP injection: ₩1,390,000 before VAT · ₩1,529,000 with VAT
The package price covers all three sessions together, not one visit. In the clinic's fee schedule every amount is given without tax, so this page puts the total with 10% VAT beside it; that second number is what you pay. Foreign visitors can no longer have VAT on cosmetic procedures refunded, as the scheme closed at the end of 2025.
Whether one session, the package or a set suits you is something Dr. Lee discusses after the examination, and choosing more sessions does not mean a bigger or more certain change. Ask the team for a written quote that lists exactly what is included.
After an intimate PRP injection
- Day 0
Blood draw, preparation and about ten minutes of injecting. Expect tenderness and possibly a small bruise at the arm and injection sites.
- Day 1
Swelling and soreness around the clitoris or vaginal wall are usually mild and fade over a day or two. Loose underwear helps.
- Day 3
Most tenderness has settled. Follow Dr. Lee's guidance on intercourse, exercise and travel given on the day.
- Day 7
Fever, spreading redness, discharge with an odor or pain that keeps growing should be seen by a doctor without delay.

Intimate PRP risks and the state of the research
The material is your own, yet the injection is still a medical procedure, and these possibilities are explained before you decide:
- Pain at the injection sites during and shortly after the injection
- Bruising at the arm or at the injection sites
- Swelling or tenderness of the clitoris or vaginal wall for a few days
- Infection, which is uncommon but needs prompt treatment
- A temporary change in feeling at an injection site
- No noticeable change at all
The research behind intimate PRP is thin. The pilot study that started the trend treated 11 women and had no comparison group (Runels et al., 2014). A 2026 randomized trial in 52 women compared PRP with a saline injection and found differences that were too small to be clear (Clarke et al., 2026). A 2025 systematic review concluded that protocols vary widely between studies and that firm conclusions are not yet possible (De Ponte et al., 2025). A small 2025 trial in women after menopause tested PRP against another injectable for vulvovaginal atrophy, a different use from the one on this page (Ragy et al., 2025).
For all of these reasons the clinic makes no claim about sexual function, dryness or vaginal tone.
The doctor who consults you is the one who operates.

Dr. Lee has treated women in Gangnam since 2008. She plans each surgery around natural shape and symmetry, explains every option — including when a procedure is not needed — and recommends only what fits your goal.

PRP intimate injection: questions from international patients
Is the doctor who consults me the one who injects the PRP?
Yes. Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee, a Korean board-certified OB/GYN specialist who has practiced near Gangnam Station since 2008, examines you, oversees the preparation and gives both injections herself. She is the only doctor at the clinic, so the person you speak with at consultation is the one who treats you.
Can I fly home on the day of a PRP intimate injection?
Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee confirms this after your injection, once she has seen how the sites look. There is no incision and the injection is short, so a long stay is not normally needed. Even so, keep a little time free before your flight in case you want her to check something.
When can I have sex again after PRP?
Dr. Lee tells you on the day, after the injection, once she has checked how the two sites look. If the area is still tender or swollen, wait until it settles, and message the clinic if pain during intercourse continues.
Do the PRP prices on this page include VAT?
Each price is shown twice: first without VAT, as in the clinic's fee schedule, and then with 10% VAT added, which is the amount you pay. Foreign visitors cannot reclaim VAT on cosmetic procedures because the refund scheme ended in 2025, so plan with the VAT-inclusive figure.
Can I arrange and discuss PRP in English?
Yes. You can ask questions and book in English using the form on this page or WhatsApp, and we will get back to you as soon as possible. At the clinic, the consultation, the blood draw and the injection can all be explained to you in English.
What happens to my deposit if I cancel or change the date?
There is no written deposit policy. Under current practice, a deposit stays on your booking if you change the date, is refunded if you cancel before the treatment day, and is not refunded for a same-day cancellation. Please confirm the terms with the team before paying anything.
Is this the injection sometimes marketed as the “O-Shot”?
It works on the same principle: platelet-rich plasma from your own blood, injected in the intimate area. O-Shot is a brand name, and the clinic does not use it. Here it is simply called a PRP intimate injection, with no claims about results.
Does a PRP intimate injection hurt?
You feel the needle, and the clitoris is a sensitive area, so some discomfort is expected. How it is kept manageable is agreed with Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee at consultation. The blood draw from your arm feels like an ordinary blood test, and soreness afterwards usually lasts a day or two.
Can PRP be added to an Ultra Vera HIFU or Revive session?
Yes. The fee schedule has two sets: Revive radiofrequency (450 shots) with one PRP injection, and Ultra Vera HIFU (600 shots) with one PRP injection. Dr. Lee decides at the examination whether either combination fits, and she may suggest only one treatment instead.
Is PRP a treatment for vaginal dryness after menopause?
The clinic does not offer it for that. Dryness after menopause has established first-line options, such as vaginal moisturizers and local estrogen, which a gynecologist at home can prescribe and follow up. Dr. Lee can examine you and explain the options, but PRP is not presented here as a cure.
Should I stop any medicines before the injection?
Tell the team about every medicine and supplement you take when you book, especially anything that thins the blood or affects platelets. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own; Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee will say whether the injection can go ahead or whether your own doctor should be consulted first.
