Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee: OB/GYN Specialist, Cosmetic Gynecology Since 2008

Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee is a female gynecologist in Seoul and the only doctor at S Women's Clinic, a short walk from Gangnam Station. She is a Korean board-certified OB/GYN specialist who trained at Samsung Medical Center and has concentrated on cosmetic gynecology in Gangnam since 2008. Each patient meets her at consultation, and she carries out the procedure herself.
The doctor who consults you is the one who operates.

Dr. Lee has treated women in Gangnam since 2008. She plans each surgery around natural shape and symmetry, explains every option — including when a procedure is not needed — and recommends only what fits your goal.

Her specialist title is in obstetrics and gynecology, the field that covers the anatomy of the vulva, vagina and pelvic floor. Cosmetic gynecology is the part of that field she has focused on in private practice; Korea has no separate specialist title for it, and she does not claim one.
The clinic also holds the Green Prescription Clinic designation from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, a government recognition of appropriate prescribing practice. It concerns how medicines are prescribed and is not a rating of any procedure.
Questions about Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee
Is Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee a female gynecologist in Seoul?
Yes. Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee is a woman and a Korean board-certified OB/GYN specialist. She has seen patients near Gangnam Station since 2008 and is the only doctor at S Women's Clinic, so every consultation, examination and procedure here is with her.
Will Dr. Lee perform my procedure herself?
Yes. She examines you, plans the procedure with you and performs it in person. The clinic does not hand surgery or injections to another doctor, and after surgery it is Dr. Lee who checks you the next morning before you travel.
Which specialty is Dr. Lee certified in?
Obstetrics and gynecology. She holds specialist certificate No. 5679 from Korea's Ministry of Health and Welfare, issued after her residency at Samsung Medical Center. Cosmetic gynecology is her area of practice within that specialty, and she does not hold or claim a separate title in it.
Can I speak with Dr. Lee in English?
Yes. English is used at the clinic on the day of your visit, including the consultation with Dr. Lee. Before you arrive, you can send questions in English through the form on this page or on WhatsApp, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Will she tell me if I do not need a procedure?
Yes. Wide differences in labial size, shape and color are normal, and Dr. Lee says so when that is what she finds. If she does not expect a procedure to ease what bothers you, she recommends against it, even when you have traveled to Seoul for it.
Who answers my questions once I am back home?
Dr. Lee does. For six months after surgery, she personally looks at the wound photos and questions you send by messenger and replies herself. Heavy bleeding with clots, pain that keeps rising or a fever still means seeing a local doctor without waiting for that reply.
Will Dr. Lee see me if I had surgery somewhere else before?
If the earlier operation was several years ago, she can see you for a consultation and examination. She does not take on surgery whose purpose is to correct the result of an operation performed by another doctor, and she does not comment on that earlier care.
Is the consultation private?
Yes. You speak with Dr. Lee one to one in a consultation room, and the examination is carried out by her. Your medical records are kept under Korean law and are not given to anyone else without your consent.
