Labia Majora Volume Loss: Filler, HIFU and Rejuran Options in Seoul

Labia majora rejuvenation covers non-surgical treatments for outer labia that have lost volume or become lax. At S Women's Clinic in Seoul there are three options: a hyaluronic acid filler to restore fullness, Shurink HIFU aimed at loose skin, and Rejuran injections. Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee, a female OB/GYN specialist, examines you and explains which, if any, fits your concern.

Why the labia majora change, and who considers treatment
The labia majora are the two outer folds of the vulva, padded with fat and covered by hair-bearing skin. Their fullness depends on that fat layer and on the elasticity of the skin above it, and both shift over a lifetime. Estrogen falls around menopause and the fat pad thins. Large weight loss removes volume quickly. Pregnancy and vaginal birth stretch the tissue, and the skin itself loses collagen with age. The result can be outer labia that look flatter, softer or more creased than before.
All of these changes sit within the normal range of female anatomy, and the outer labia differ widely in shape and fullness from one woman to the next. Treatment is a choice for women who are bothered by the change, for example:
- Outer labia that look deflated after weight loss or childbirth
- Fine wrinkling of the skin that was not there before
- A sense that the inner labia are more exposed now that the outer folds are thinner
- Discomfort from the change in shape in tight clothing
When Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee advises against labia majora treatment
Injections and HIFU add volume or act on skin texture; they cannot remove a large fold of loose skin, and the doctor tells you if what you hope for is beyond what they can do. A swelling on one side, a lump, a painful area or new dark veins need a diagnosis first. Active infection, a recent flare of genital herpes or broken skin means waiting. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, raise it at the consultation. And if your concern is the length of the inner labia, that is a different procedure, described on the labiaplasty page.
Three labia majora rejuvenation options at the clinic
Each option works on a different layer, and they are chosen to match what has changed.
Hyaluronic acid filler for outer labia volume
Hyaluronic acid is a sugar molecule found naturally in skin. As a filler it is a gel injected into the fat layer of the labia majora, adding fullness where the tissue has thinned. The clinic uses a hyaluronic acid filler listed on its fee schedule as Rejuvial, in a 3cc plan. The body breaks the gel down gradually, so the effect is temporary and its length varies.
Shurink HIFU aimed at lax labia majora skin
Shurink is a high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) device by Classys of Korea, exported as Ultraformer III. It focuses ultrasound energy into small points beneath the skin surface, where the heat is intended to trigger collagen remodeling while the surface stays intact. The plan is 300 shots. This device is separate from the one used for vaginal HIFU. A 2021 systematic review of focused ultrasound for skin tightening covered the face and neck, so its effect on the labia majora is uncertain.
Rejuran polynucleotide injections
Rejuran contains polynucleotides, DNA fragments purified from salmon, injected as small droplets into the skin. It does not add volume. Polynucleotides and related compounds are studied for their role in tissue repair (Squadrito et al., 2017), and Rejuran is used here as a skin-quality option in a 2cc plan, with no claim of a set result.
A fourth option, Juvelook Volume, is a collagen-stimulating injectable that the clinic also places in the labia majora; it has its own page.

Recovery after labia majora filler or HIFU
- Day 0
Swelling, tenderness or small bruises at injection points. Rest with cold packs as advised.
- Day 1
Loose underwear and clothing. Avoid pressing or massaging the area unless told to.
- Day 3
Swelling begins to ease. Skip saunas, hot baths and cycling for now.
- Day 14
The shape has largely settled Message the clinic if one side looks different.

Risks of labia majora filler, HIFU and Rejuran
None of these options is risk-free, and Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee explains each before treatment:
- Swelling, bruising and tenderness at the injection points
- Lumps or uneven contour, which may need massage, time or dissolving of the filler
- Infection at the injection site
- Asymmetry between the two sides
- Filler entering a blood vessel, a serious event that can block circulation
- With HIFU, temporary pain, redness, numbness or a surface burn
The research behind these treatments is limited. A systematic review of labia majora augmentation with filler or fat found no major complications reported and high satisfaction, but only low-level evidence and no randomized trials (Jabbour et al., 2017). A randomized study of a hyaluronic acid filler for the labia majora reported only mild, short-lived reactions and called for longer follow-up (Fasola et al., 2026). On the other side, a 2022 review of genital filler injections collected cases of filler reaching the lungs after injection, some of them fatal. This is why every injection starts with an examination and a discussion of the risks.

Labia majora rejuvenation FAQ
When can I fly home after labia majora filler?
There is no incision or stitch, but the clinic has not set a fixed rule for this treatment, so your flight date is agreed with the doctor when you book. On the plane, wear loose clothing that does not press on the outer labia, and avoid sitting in one position for hours.
When can I have sex after labia majora treatment?
Wait until swelling and tenderness have settled and the doctor has agreed. Pressure and friction on freshly injected tissue can move filler or increase bruising, so ask before you leave the clinic how long to wait in your case.
Does a female doctor do the labia majora injections?
Yes. Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee, a Korean board-certified OB/GYN specialist who has practiced near Gangnam Station since 2008, is the clinic's only doctor. She examines you one to one and either recommends an option or advises against treatment.
How much is labia majora filler in Seoul?
The 3cc hyaluronic acid filler plan is listed on this page with and without VAT, as are the Shurink HIFU and Rejuran plans. Fee schedule prices exclude 10% VAT, so the VAT-inclusive figure is what you pay. The refund on cosmetic VAT for foreign visitors ended in 2025.
Will someone explain labia majora treatment to me in English?
Yes. English is spoken at the clinic, so the examination, the options and the aftercare can be covered in English. You can also send questions in English on WhatsApp or through the form on this page before you travel, and we will reply as soon as possible.
What happens to my deposit if my plans change?
The clinic has no written deposit rule. Its current practice is to keep the deposit on your booking when you change the date and to refund it if you cancel before the appointment day; a cancellation made on the day is not refunded. Confirm the terms before paying.
What causes wrinkly labia majora, and can it be treated?
Wrinkling comes with loss of fat and collagen with age, menopause, weight loss or childbirth. Filler can soften creases by restoring volume underneath, and HIFU is aimed at the skin itself, though evidence for it in this area is limited. The doctor examines you before suggesting either.
Can the labia majora be tightened without surgery?
Shurink HIFU is the non-surgical option aimed at lax skin. It heats points beneath the surface with the intention of prompting collagen change. Studies come from the face and neck, so the degree of tightening on the labia majora cannot be predicted, and results vary.
Is hyaluronic acid filler safe for the labia majora?
No injection is free of risk. Reviews report few serious problems with hyaluronic acid in the outer labia, but the studies are small, and filler can enter a blood vessel. The doctor explains the warning signs to watch for before you leave.
Can I have labia majora filler during my period?
Tell us your expected period dates when you book. The clinic schedules treatment days so they do not overlap with your period, including the two or three days afterward, and if your cycle shifts, the date can be changed.
Can I pay for labia majora treatment with a foreign card?
Yes. Foreign credit cards are accepted. Fees are charged in Korean won and converted by your card issuer, so check its foreign transaction fee. The figure charged is the VAT-inclusive amount for the option you choose after the examination.
