Brazilian and Full Brazilian Laser Hair Removal in Gangnam

Laser hair removal in Gangnam at S Women's Clinic covers the intimate area only: a Brazilian plan for the bikini line, perineum and perianal skin, and a full Brazilian plan that removes all pubic hair. Both use an 800 nm diode laser with cooling. Sessions are about a month apart, and Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee is a female OB/GYN specialist.

Who chooses laser for the Brazilian area
Pubic hair differs from woman to woman in thickness, color and how far it spreads onto the thighs, and keeping it, trimming it or removing it are all personal choices. Reasons for choosing laser treatment of the area include:
- Razor bumps, ingrown hairs or itching after shaving the bikini line
- The cost and discomfort of waxing every few weeks
- Dark stubble that shows through swimwear soon after shaving
- A wish to manage the area by themselves without visiting a salon
A laser works by targeting the dark pigment inside the hair, so dark hair on lighter skin responds most predictably. White, gray, light blond and red hairs carry little of that pigment and may barely respond at all. A deep tan, or naturally darker skin, raises the risk of skin reactions and calls for more cautious settings.
When Brazilian laser hair removal should wait
Do not book a session over a recent sunburn, an active infection, a cold sore or broken skin in the area. Mention any skin condition in the bikini region, medicines that make skin light-sensitive, and a history of keloid scars. If you are pregnant, it is reasonable to postpone cosmetic hair removal until after the birth and to discuss timing with the doctor. If hair growth has suddenly increased or spread, see your own doctor about the cause before thinking about removal.
How the 800 nm diode laser removes pubic hair
The clinic uses the ALLIE LITE, an 800 nm diode laser made by Elesys in Korea. Light at this wavelength passes into the skin and is absorbed by melanin in the hair shaft and root. The heat travels down to the follicle and damages the cells that regrow hair, while cooling protects the skin surface. Follicles only respond during their active growth phase, and at any moment some hairs are resting, which is why one session thins the hair and a series of sessions is planned. Laser and light devices can give long-term hair reduction, with differences between devices and skin types (Krasniqi et al., 2022).
The two plans on the fee schedule differ only in the area covered:
- Brazilian: the bikini line, the perineum and the perianal area
- Full Brazilian (all-off): all pubic hair, from the front of the mons to the perianal skin, sometimes called VIO in Japan
Each session includes the laser, cooling, and aloe gel applied afterwards. The clinic's records count around 9,000 hair removal cases.
A laser hair removal visit at the clinic
- Shave the area before the visit, as advised when you book, so the laser reaches the root without singeing surface hair.
- On arrival the skin, hair color and any irritation are checked, and you choose or confirm the plan.
- The laser is passed over the area in overlapping rows while the skin is cooled.
- Aloe gel is applied, and aftercare is explained before you leave.

Brazilian laser price in South Korea
Both plans are priced per session. The fee schedule figure is shown first, before tax, followed by the amount with 10% VAT, which is the figure you pay.
- Brazilian (bikini, perineum and perianal area), one session: ₩160,000, or ₩176,000 with VAT
- Full Brazilian (all-off), one session: ₩180,000, or ₩198,000 with VAT
Cooling and aloe gel are part of every session, so there is no separate charge for them. Because sessions are spaced about a month apart and paid one at a time, you can stop or continue as your schedule allows. The VAT refund that foreign visitors once received on cosmetic treatment ended on December 31, 2025.
Skin care after a Brazilian laser session
- Day 0
Redness and raised follicles for some hours. Wear loose cotton underwear.
- Day 2
Avoid saunas, hot baths and hard workouts until the skin is calm.
- Day 7
Treated hairs may seem to grow and then fall out over the coming weeks.
- Day 30
Next session due, about one month after the last.

Risks of laser hair removal in the bikini area
Laser energy strong enough to damage a hair follicle can also affect the skin around it. These are the risks the doctor explains before treatment:
- Redness, swelling and tender bumps around the follicles for hours to a day or two
- Burns or blisters, especially on tanned or darker skin
- Darker or lighter patches of skin, which can last for months
- Folliculitis, an inflammation of the hair follicles that looks like small pimples
- Paradoxical hair growth, where hair near the treated area becomes thicker, which has been reported after laser and light treatment
- Less reduction than hoped, particularly with light or fine hair
A review of legal cases involving laser procedures found that hair removal was the treatment most often involved in injury claims (Jalian et al., 2013), one reason settings and cooling are checked at every visit. Studies comparing devices also show that skin type changes how a laser should be used (Ismail, 2012). Results vary, and no one can say in advance exactly how much hair a given woman will lose.

Brazilian laser FAQ
Can I fly the day after Brazilian laser hair removal?
A laser session leaves no wound and no dressing, so a flight is not limited by the treatment itself. Confirm your travel date when you book, wear loose underwear and clothes on the plane, and ask the doctor on the day if the skin reacts more than expected.
When can I have sex after a Brazilian laser session?
Once any redness, swelling or tenderness in the bikini area has gone down. Friction on freshly treated skin can irritate the follicles, so wait until the area feels normal to the touch.
Is this a women's clinic with a female doctor?
Yes. S Women's Clinic is a women's clinic near Gangnam Station, and its only doctor is Dr. Hye-Yeon Lee, a Korean board-certified OB/GYN specialist who has worked there since 2008. If it matters to you who operates the laser at your session, ask when you book.
How much is Brazilian laser hair removal in Seoul?
Each plan is priced per session, with the VAT-inclusive amount shown beside the fee schedule price. The Brazilian plan covers the bikini line, perineum and perianal area, and the full Brazilian plan covers all pubic hair. Cooling and aloe gel are included.
Can I book laser hair removal in English?
Yes. English is spoken at the clinic, and you can message us in English on WhatsApp or through the form on this page before you arrive. We answer as soon as possible and can suggest dates that suit your stay.
Is my booking deposit refundable?
There is no written deposit policy. Currently, a deposit is kept for you if you move the appointment and refunded if you cancel before the treatment day; cancelling on the day itself means it is not returned. Check the terms that apply to your booking before you pay.
What is the difference between Brazilian and full Brazilian laser hair removal?
The area. The Brazilian plan treats the bikini line, the perineum and the perianal skin, leaving hair on the front of the mons. The full Brazilian, also called all-off, treats every area of pubic hair. Both plans use the same laser and are priced per session.
Is laser hair removal permanent?
No promise of permanence can be made. Lasers give permanent hair reduction, meaning fewer and finer hairs, and the clinic's guidance is that results hold for about a year, varying by person. Hormonal change can prompt new growth, and a later session can be discussed if that happens.
Can I have a session during my period?
Let us know your expected period dates when booking. The clinic plans treatment so it does not overlap with your period, including the two or three days that follow a session, and if your cycle changes, the date can be moved.
How is a laser session different from a Brazilian wax?
Waxing pulls hair out by the root, and it grows back within weeks. A laser heats and damages the follicle so that regrowth is reduced over a series of sessions. Between laser sessions you shave instead of waxing, because the laser needs the root in place.
Can I pay with a foreign credit card?
Yes, foreign cards are accepted. Fees are charged in Korean won, and your bank converts the amount, so it is worth checking its foreign transaction fee. You pay per session, at the VAT-inclusive rate for the plan you choose.
